Park Rules and Regulations

Below is a simplified version.  Please refer to the above link for complete description of the ordinances required by Cherokee County.  The Hobgood Baseball Board of Directors has the authority to require rules and regulations that are more restrictive than those adopted by the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency.

Alcohol Possession and Consumption or Drug Use

. Possession and consumption of Alcohol and drugs are prohibited in all areas.

Behavior & Language

        
1. Threatening coaches, players, umpires or other fans in a physical or verbal manner is strictly prohibited.
         2.  Umpires are authorized to remove a head coach from the park if a team's fans are abusive to umpires.
         3.  If an umpire or park official requests a coach or fan leave the park, that person must leave immediately. 

Smoking, Vaping, and Tobacco Use in Parks

1.The use of any tobacco product, E-Cigarettes, and vapor products are prohibited at all times within the park.

Animal Control in Parks


1. Domestic animals are NOT permitted within the Hobgood Baseball facility. 
a. Exception  --Service Animals
--Authorized by Permit
2. Park officials will request the removal of ANY domestic animal.


Firearms in Parks

1. It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge a firearm in any park or recreation facility.
2. All firearms are prohibited on school grounds.  This includes Fields behind Bascomb Elementary School (Fields 11,12, and 13).

Use of Skateboards, Hover boards, Scooters, Skates and Bicycles

1. All riding toys of any kind are prohibited within the park.

Parking Regulated

1. Parking is allowed only in marked parking spaces.
2. Vehicles parked in NO PARKING AREAS are subject to being Towed at the owners expense.
3. All vehicles parked in Handicap spots must have proper signage displayed.

Pyrotechnics (Fireworks, Explosives, Projectiles, Rockets, Etc.) Regulated 

1. All forms are prohibited in all areas of the park.

Use of Engine-Powered Models, Toys and Unmanned Aerial Systems

Camping

1. No camping, or use of RVs allowed within the park or Parking lot areas.
