2018 Hobgood Memorial Day Warm-Up
All-Star Tournament

May 24 - May 27

Last year our 2017 Hobgood Memorial Day Warm-Up had over 124 teams in 10 age groups.  Our intention with this tournament has always been to provide competitive balance while maximizing games.  We were the first tournament to offer a 4 game guarantee, which we've never changed.  We were also the first tournament to separate A teams from B/C teams in completely separate divisions.  We care about your teams playing the right competition and getting in many games over the course of this tournament.  We also want the players excited about winning "hardware", so we started awarding Rings two years ago.  Ultimately, we ended up crowning 22 Champions and 22 Runners-Up...that's 1 in every 3 teams getting hardware.

We have also made further preparations for inclement weather this year.  In our 6 years of hosting this tournament, last year was the first one that had any game cancelled and not made up.  We truly apologize for what happened last year, and we will do everything in our power to make sure that doesn't happen.  We've secured more fields and will also be utilizing Memorial Day as a makeup day if needed.  We look forward to another great weekend of baseball in 2018!  

Come play at Hobgood Baseball Park as you get your All-Star season off to a great start and prepare for the all important Dizzy Dean district tournaments.  We have designed our tournament with a few simple things in mind:

1.  Lots of Games
2.  Lots of Trophies
3.  Great Competition
4.  Superior Facilities 

We will keep the "A" division separate from the "B/C" division but must rely on the integrity of each coach to place their team in the proper division.  We will also continue to separate age groups into multiple brackets if we get more than 8 teams in an age group.  Again, the goal of this tournament is baseball...not maximizing profits. The tournament is open to any All-Star team (Dizzy Dean, USSSA, Pony, Dixie Youth, Little League, etc...).  The tournament will follow Dizzy Dean All-star Tournament format and will divide teams into playoff brackets after pool play.  There is a 4 game guarantee (3 pool games, then single elimination).  Rings will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place.  Your players will love getting rings and showing them off to all their friends!

Ages: 5u, 6u, 7u, 8u - $350.00 (coach pitch)
9u, 10u -  $400.00  (46' mound, 60' bases)
11u, 12u - $400.00 (50' mound, 70' bases)
14u - $450.00 (54' mound, 80' bases)
