Chairman

  • The chairman shall be the principle executive officer of the Association and shall have the powers generally attributable to the Chief Executive Office of a corporation.
  • The Chairman shall preside at all meetings of the members of the Association and the Board of Directors.

Secretary

  • The secretary is the custodian of the records of the park.
  • The secretary insures that all notices are duly given in accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws and as required by law and that the books, reports and other documents and records of the Association are properly kept and filed.
  • Keeps minutes of the proceedings of the Members and Board.
  • Keeps at the registered office of the Association a record of the names and addresses of the members entitled to vote.
  • Performs all duties incident to the office of secretary and such other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Chairman.

Treasurer

  • The treasurer shall have charge and custody of and be responsible for, all funds and securities of the Association in such depositories as shall be designated by the Board.
  • Keep correct and complete books and records of account and records of financial transactions and condition of the Association and shall submit such reports thereof as the Board may require.
  • Perform all duties incident to the office of treasurer and such other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Chairman.
  • The Board may appoint one or more assistant treasurers who may act in place of the treasurer in case of his/her absence, death, or inability or failure to act.

Rec Baseball Commissioner

  • Liaison between League Directors and Board of Directors.
  • Determines/Sets the number of teams per league prior to and during the registration process.
  • Schedules regular season games and season ending tournaments for all leagues.
  • Point of escalation for issues and concerns related to baseball.
  • Main point of contact with the Head of Umpires.
  • Reschedules all rained out events.
  • Provides information regarding the league to the Director of Public Relations.
  • Anually, in the fall, creates a baseball calendar for the year/li>
  • Administers and communicates the All-Star selection process.
  • Organizes and communicates with All-Star coaches and sets practice and field schedules for All-Star teams.
  • Attracts and select League Directors.
  • Responsible for coaching development and training.
  • Coordinates with travel Baseball Commissioner practice times and schedules.

Travel Baseball Commissioner

  • Responsible for the recruitment and selection and retention of travel teams and coaches.
  • Communicates with Travel Coaches Policies and Procedures of the Park.
  • Liaison between travel coaches and the Board of Directors.
  • Point of escalation for issues and concerns rising from within the travel program.
  • Coordinates Field time with the rec baseball commissioner and assigns practice slots to travel teams.

Director of Uniforms and Equipment

  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers of uniforms and equipment.
  • Responsible for providing the equipment at the lowest cost and highest quality for the rec and travel programs.
  • Responsible for the distribution and collection of equipment to rec baseball League Directors.
  • Responsible for the purchase and replacement of equipment.
  • Responsible for ordering and distribution process of uniforms and equipment.

Director of Public Relations

  • Focal point for communications to Founders and Members of the park.
  • Communicates activities and events within the park.
  • Keeps members and founder informed of events, happenings and information related ot events within the park.
  • Publicity of events (including registration) within the park.
  • Responsible for the building the Hobgood Brand and name recognition.
  • Utilizes and adds content to the web-site as a tool in spreading and discrimination of information to interested parties at the park.
  • Responsible for insuring the success of the Spring and Fall Carnivals.

Director of Field Maintenance

  • Responsible for facilities owned and/or operated by Hobgood Park Youth Association.
  • This includes but is not limited to, turf maintenance, grounds maintenance, fencing, lighting, sanitation etc.
