We are inviting any 6u all-star teams to join us for the 3rd annual "Hobgood 6U  Summer Showdown" (June 10-12).   This is a 6U only tournament.   I can guarantee you we will do everything in our power to get these games played. Many other tournaments will rain you out after you have played your minimum number of games.  You will not have to run to different parks on the same day to play games.  All games are played at Hobgood Baseball Park. We pride ourselves on getting all games played.  We will have multiple Tournament directors on site including two board memebers.  Each field is address after each game.   This is a non profit tournament to benefit the 15u Braves summer travel tournament costs.  We will have a $5.00 gate fee on all days for adults.  Seniors and Children up to age 18 will not be charged.   50% of the gate fee goes back directly to the park for capital projects.  You will NOT play one game Friday, one game Saturday and one game Sunday.  Other tournaments like to do this to get you to play a gate fee all three days. 

The tournament will follow Dizzy Dean All-Star Tournament format and will divide teams into playoff brackets after pool play.  There is a 3 game guarantee (2 pool games, then single elimination).  All-Star teams of all levels are invited and will be separated into Gold and Sliver brackets as registrations permits.  Tournament is open to any All-Star team (Dizzy Dean, USSSA, Pony, Dixie Youth, Little League, etc...) NO TRAVEL TEAMS ALLOWED!!  Trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place.  We give nice sized trophies your players are sure to appreciate.  

Last year we had 67 teams attend this tournament and had to turn down 17 teams because we sold out.  This year we can only take a maximum of 20 teams at 6u.  We will be using two age appropriate sized fields that have grass infields.  All Championship games will be played on appropriately sized fields for each age level.  Come see your kids hit BOMBS! Hobgood Baseball Park completed a 1.4 million dollar renovation in 2014.  All fields have grass infields and plenty of batting cages.  In addition, we have the premiere concession stand in the State.

Do not be confused by another tournament stating they are are also playing at Hobgood Park. That tourney will be played at the Hobgood Softball fields. Those are dirt infields with 300 foot fences.  Our park is a baseball park with plenty of batting cages and  beautiful age appropriate fields.
